"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is set to hit the the big screen on December and as the date draws near, a lot of fans are speculating on who will be the main villain in the upcoming movie. There are several reports indicating that Domhnall Gleeson will be one of the villains in Star Wars Episode 7 even though Walt Disney hasn't released an official statement on this matter.

One of newest rumors about the franchise pertain to Domhnall Gleeson's attachment to the film. A solid source said that "The Harry Potter" alum will play "The General," an Imperial officer who works for another villain "Uber," played by actress Andy Serkis.

Gleeson's involvement in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," however, is said to have a shorter screen time compared to the other villains. It is believed that "The General" won't survive the film unlike the other adversaries.

It was previously reported that Domhnall Gleeson's character in Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the son of Luke Skywalker but this latest buzz will now allow the fans to talk or debate about "The General" in the new franchise.

In an interview, the "About Time" actor kept mum about his real involvement in Star Wars Episode VII, saying that the basic order for the cast members is to not talk or reveal any vital detail about the movie.

Report said that other villains in the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" includes "Captain Phasma," who will be played by Gwendoline Christie. Her character will only have a brief involvement in the movie like "The General" but is reported to take longer action scenes in Episode VIII.

At the moment, Star Wars fans can only theorize about the film and wait for its second official trailer, which will be released on the premiere of "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Hopefully, it would shed some light to the speculations about the movie's characters and major plot lines.

Official statements about "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" may be limited but theories about its plot and characters will continue to appear online as the release of the new trailer gets closer.
