Constantine garnered mixed critical reviews in its first season. Although it was not given a complete season with twenty-two episodes, it went on to have thirteen episodes in total. Fans are adamant that the series continued to get better as each episode aired and ratings agreed with these sentiments, going higher as the season reached its end. However, it was clearly not enough for it to be picked-up for a second season immediately.

There were rumors of Constantine moving to a different network, SyFy, but that stayed a rumor. However, showrunner Daniel Cerone wants to keep this show afloat so we cannot let go of the idea that Constantine season two might happen outside of NBC.

Cerone updated fans about the future of the show via twitter, stating that they will pitch the second season by the end of April and that news about the show's fate will be released in May. It is not long now until we know for sure about what happens next in the world of Constantine. He has also encouraged fans to stream the episodes and tell their friends to do the same so that NBC will know that Constantine is an investment.

The showrunner is clearly passionate about getting the show a second season and so are the fans. Despite their relatively small numbers, the fans are using hashtags on twitter to show that Constantine is being talked about and there was a petition signed by more than 24,000 fans which is not the greatest of feats but at least there are those who are willing to go an extra mile to save a show they loved watching.

Will the #Hellblazers on twitter #SaveConstantine? Do you think Constantine even deserves a second season?

This May, fans will have the answers.
