Zayn Malik has recently announced his decision to finally quit the world-famous boy band One Direction. The heartthrob and singer reportedly did so due to his desire to continue on with a normal life and to spend more time with his family. The fans worldwide reacted differently, and it has been a source of intrigue whether Zayn Malik had kept hard feelings for some of the band's fans.

Zayn Malik, 22, the resident bad boy of One Direction has left the band. He said, "I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight", and that, "My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band. I'd like to apologise to the fans if I've let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart."

Fans literally went wild all over the internet when the singer signed off due to stress during one of the tours. Some fans threw the blame on Perrie Edwards, a member of the British girl group Little Mix, and Zayn Malik's fiancé. Edwards was said to pressure Zayn to quit One Direction, since the cheating scandal that involved an unidentified fan. She was once quoted saying, "When you're in this industry life's never going to be normal. As much as you try." 

Malik also wrote on Twitter: "I'm 22 years old," and, "I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there's a lot of jealous fucks in this world I'm sorry for what it looks like x."

Zayn also left Twitter in 2012 due to the claim that he was tired of all the negativity he was receiving through social media. He stated, "My fans that have something nice to say can tweet me on the one direction account , :) x" and added, "And if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all..."

Apparently, Zayn had enough of the media glitz and all the haters abound in social media. Still, he apologized to his fans for leaving the band stating, "I'd like to apologize to the fans if I've let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart."
