Fans of Girls Generation will be hearing one less voice once their new music is released. The K-pop all-girl band is set to release a new single, and is even rumored to be dropping a brand new album a month after.

The Korean all-girl phenom will be releasing their Japanese single "Catch Me if You Can" on April 22. This will be their first new music without Jessica Jung, who left the group in late 2014.

Jung had made the startling announcement on her Weibo account on September 30, 2014 that she felt that she was being "forced out" of the band.

"I was excited about our upcoming fan events only to shockingly be informed by my company and 8 others that as of today I'm no longer a member. "I'm devastated -- my priority and love is to serve as a member of GG, but for no justifiable reason, I am being forced out." she wrote.

Girls Generation fans were outraged at the news of Jessica Jung being kicked out of Girls Generation. A representative from SM Entertainment has spoken up regarding Jessica's dismissal, stating that it was Jessica's decision to leave due to "personal reasons" citing that Jung had other responsibilities including her fashion company, Blanc.

While K-pop bands are no strangers to having their members leave the group, Girls' Generation are one of the most formidable groups having spent seven years together. The group has also spent years topping the Forbes Korea's Power Celebrity Lists.  Jung's leaving the group could spell bad things not only for SM Entertainment, but for the fanbase as well.

It is true that Girls' Generation has a loyal fanbase, but what will happen when it is time to promote music without Jessica? It should be interesting since the group as already made it well past the fabled "five-year itch." The group continues to be a driving force in the K-pop industry.

Fans have speculated that this would be the start of the K-pop group's disbandment since their music would most likely not be the same without Jessica Jung. When asked about her future in showbiz, Jessica plans to take things "slowly".

"I'm going to be taking it step by step in the fashion industry," she said. "I did not lose my passion for the entertainment industry. For my fans, there are a lot of great things in the works so hang in there."
