Good news for Star Wars fanatics since Electronic Arts Company has finally announced the official release dates of Star Wars Battlefront which will debut on April 16 through 19 at the Star Wars Celebration Expo in Anaheim, California.However EA has yet to confirm on which day of the event it will be released. The game to release this year will be in PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms only.

According to the site, the game's first public appearance will be held at the Star Wars Celebration where filmmakers and fans gather to celebrate the Star Wars universe. It was also anticipated that details of the upcoming Star Wars Episode 8 will be one of the highlights for the said event.

Additionally, the site also mentioned the history of the Battlefront sequel. Over 10 years ago, the first Battlefront was already made available for PS2, Windows and Xbox. Several changes took place in the following years. The proper sequel of Battlefront II debuted in 2005 and Battlefront III in 2008. The sequel however was reportedly cancelled but was rebooted to simply Star Wars Battlefront.

Although the actual details of the gameplay has not been known yet, it was presumed that the new game will still focus on large-scale multi player battles that combines both on-foot and vehicular combat. Fans can view the Battlefront trailer to have a better picture on what to expect.

"Star Wars" is one of the biggest franchises in corporate owner Disney's (DIS) galaxy in 2013, EA and Disney made a decade long deal to produce video games based on the Star Wars series. This is considered to be a good partnership because of the companies' combined skills where EA is good in producing video games plus Disney's superb marketing style.
