For "Destiny" gamers who had been following the Oracle of Xur, it seemed that his powers of prediction had faltered as Bungie might have successfully concealed the weekly stockpile list from the data-miner. Meanwhile, the data-miner, Megamanexe4, remained clueless as to what happened with the weekly Xur inventory as his continuous efforts to regain access to the stockpile have been in vain.

"Destiny" gamer and Reddit user Megamanexe4 posted that he was unable to mine information on Xur's upcoming stocks. This was the first incident where he failed to tap in to the system since he started posting about the weekly Xur inventory. In a Reddit post he said that, "Apparently he can't query for single items in Xur inventory anymore, whenever he tries the server just returns the same items from this week, all he can do now is predict the Exotic Engram and some of the items in the Upgrade Exotic list," based on a translated report from Gaming bolt.

He explained that if this continued two weeks from now, it would be extremely difficult for him to predict Xur's stock in the future. He added that "He's not sure if this happens because Bungie is controlling Xur directly or because of the server side changes that have been implemented recently, but if this happens again next week, or the following, he'll most likely be unable to predict Xur anymore."

In an earlier report, Bungie released "Destiny" Update 1.1.2 to address several bugs in the game. This bugs ranged from gamer stats that were not posted correctly in the game. There was also a hotfix on alleged missing items when using the Companion App. However, it was unclear if the update coincided with Bungie allegedly managing Xur directly and effectively blocking data mining.

However, Megamanexe4 still made a forecast for "Destiny" gamers based on his earlier predictions a few months back. He said that if Bungie hasn't changed Xur's list, which would include the items he predicted earlier, then gamers would still be able to see MIDA Multi-Tool, Obsidian Mindand Thunderlord within the months of April and May.

Although "Destiny" gamers would not be able to rely on Megamanexe4's wisdom in the future, hopefully, they could still get a kick out of the surprises that would be in store for them.
