Song of Ice and Fire fans, we know that you have been patiently waiting for the release of Winds of Winter. We are not talking about months here, we are talking about years. And it is quite frustrating to receive news about the release date, only to be corrected by a number of sources. Now, what's the latest fuzz about our much-awaited book?

The last thing we heard is that 2016 would be the year, at least. Fans were actually ready for that, giving up hopes that we can see George R.R. Martin's new work this year. However, the author himself said that he is trying to finish the book. He seems very much excited to end it. Is this an answered prayer to Winds of Winter fans?

According to one source, the author will not attend the Comic-con and World Fantasy Convention in order to write The Winds of Winter. If he is missing out some great events, then he must be really cooking something even better. Of course, if he will be able to finish the book ahead of time, we will still see him in the aforementioned affairs.

Meanwhile, we are to see Games of Thrones on our small screens this April. Are you ready for it? We recently reported that the series, even when adapted from the book, might have some scenes far more different from what we will read. Hopefully, it would still be seamless and will not turn to be a cheap plot.

These past few weeks, most news related to The Winds of Winter are almost positive. It's as if they are giving us a clear hint that the release date will be sometime this year. Let's pray that they are not playing with us. The fans are already getting disappointed! But then again, what's not to wait for a great book? How will it give justice and continue 'A Song of Ice and Fire?'
