Any hope for 'Hart of Dixie' Season 5 renewal will now be put to rest, after actor Jaime King and creator Leila Gerstein bid their farewell to the popular show.

'Hart of Dixie' creator Leila Gerstein first tweeted last March 6 about "final" episodes of the CW hit series, indicating that there might not be a season 5.

"The final three episodes of #HartofDixie begin tonight. Buckle up, I think you will enjoy the ride. Xo."

Her next tweet continued with, "No one out there loves #HOD more than me. I would have gone 17 years! But I assure you, we prepared for this... And the finale will be tremendously satisfying to all."

If you are worried that the show will end on a cliffhanger, Gerstein said that there will be a high level of closure to be expected. She mentioned that all the series' questions would be answered in the last few episodes.

Gerstein stated, "I will say that there is a lot of closure in the season finale and there is a definite feeling of celebration at the end of the season."

Nonetheless, Scott Porter, who plays George Tucker, confirmed what many have speculated before: the show may see its last season if viewer ratings did not pick up.

Recently, Jaime King also bids a farewell to her character Lemon, and confirmed that season 4 will be the show's final season.

These farewells made by the two actors and the creator are also noted by Zap2it. The website wrote that 'Hart of Dixie' is now certain to be cancelled.

"A series of social media messages from the show's creator and two of the actors last week now leave no doubt that the show has been cancelled," the website wrote.

Perhaps, let's start accept the fact that 'Hart of Dixie' Season 5 is certain to be cancelled. So long 'Hart of Dixie'? But before that, let's watch the final episode set on Friday, March 27, at 8pm on The CW.
