Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge have already been revealed at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 yesterday with its CEO describes the new flagship smartphones in two words-'Relentless innovation.'

Samsung CEO JK Shin said in his presentation at the MWC 2015 in Barcelona, Spain that the products 'are the result of a simple philosophy.'

The South Korean electronics company boasted fresh developments in smartphone technology. Both Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge have the "fastest, brightest camera on the market" that illuminates best on a night scene.

With strong competitor Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus dominating the market, Samsung is getting serious with its ambition to take over the win. Following the triumph of Apple Pay, Shin demonstrated Samsung LoopPay, a contact-less payment system that allows phones to be swiped or tapped at tills just like credit cards. Samsung's added payment method can be used anywhere Visa and Master Card credit cards are accepted, which is expected to be available in the US and South Korea come summer.

With its wireless charging capability, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge can get enough charge for four hours of use in just 10 minutes. In terms of security, enterprise users can count on the new devices after Samsung straightened out safety measures ideal for business and government use.

A durable Gorilla Glass also welcomed users a totally revamped design, and left the plastic casings phenomenon in exchange for a gold, silver and grey metal chassis variations. However, spare batteries cannot replace drained ones because back case is no longer detachable.

Galaxy S6 Edge differs from Galaxy S6 with its curved edges and with its curved screens Galaxy S6 Edge will help users stay closer with contacts. The edge wakes up with that person's designated color, which means user no longer needs to pick up the phone to see whoever messages them.

Powered by eight-core Exynos chip, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge get away from the previous Qualcomm Snapdragon. Both devices sport a 5.1-inch screen and a 16 megapixel back-facing camera and 5 megapixel front-facing camera. Samsung sold only 75 million handsets in the third quarter of 2014 compared to 84 million of the same period last year, according to analyst IDC.

Both devices will be available on April 10 in 20 countries.
