OnePlus Two (codenamed Lettuce) is expected to be released either in April or September, featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and a 3,300mAh battery. It will also be running on its version of Android Lollipop.

In terms of screen display, it is reported to have the same 5.5-inch size of the previous flagship phone the OnePlus One, only this time it will have a quad HD display.

OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei confirmed first in the Reddit AMA Session, and recently at the Consumer Electronics Show, that the company is up for a second or third quarter launching of its flagship phone for 2015.

OnePlus also confirmed that North America, Asia, and Europe can expect custom models for better and appropriate range of mobile data network bands. This is in response to the criticism that OnePlus One supports only one band in the UK.

According to Pei, the size of the upcoming flagship phone could come as a surprise for the phone's fans and supporters. Assuming the rumors are true, OnePlus Two would still have slimmer profile than the previous model, courtesy of its ultra-thin bezels and edge-to-edge display.

He went on further by saying that the OnePlus Two will be available first in India and other Asian and European markets, then to the US. OnePlus would also stick to the invite-only system, but it would also be rolling out a limited pre-order arrangement soon after.

One of the reasons OnePlus has remained indecisive about the launching of its flagship phone could be the manufacturing issues with the Snapdragon chipset, which appears to be the same issue that Samsung had encountered with the Galaxy S6, namely the heating issue, and prompted it to use its own updated Exynos processor. OnePlus could follow suit after all it has been working on its own version of Android processor, the Oxygen.

The OnePlus Two will also be slightly more expensive than the previous model upon its release, but it won't be more than 500 USD as Business Insider have predicted.

If it would stay true to its winning formula: a killer design, coupled with powerful specs and unique user experience, and provide more customization options at a very cheap price, OnePlus Two could easily be hailed as the king for its category.
