The immensely popular Australian rock band, 5 Seconds of Summer, has just been named as the worst band of the year at the 2015 NME awards but  Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, and Ashton Irwin even rejoiced for this kind of 'victory.'

A lot of musicians were present to receive their awards at the prestigious event in London on Wednesday except 5 Seconds of Summer but that's not because they felt shame to be called the worst band of the year since they even made a campaign and request their fans to vote  for them for the said award.

"HOLY SH** WE GOT NOMINATED FOR WORST BAND AT THE NME AWARDS," Clifford tweeted. "pls pls pls vote. I'm not even being sarcastic it would be so incredible to win."

When they indeed won as the worst band of the year at NME, Clifford and the rest of the boys expressed their delight and tweeted, "Won the NME worst band award. I'm so damn happy right now. tnx to everyone who voted #dreamscoming true."

Meanwhile, in his latest interview with We Love Pop Magazine, 5 Seconds of Summer frontman Luke Hemmings was asked what relationship advice he could share with the readers.

The dashing Aussie rocker was straightforward about his love life admitting that after he and his last girlfriend decided to end their relationship,he was sneaking in at the girl's posts on her Facebook including her photos just to know what she's currently doing.   

Luke Hemmings even jokingly said that in a stalking scale of 1 to 10, he is an 8.5. 

Fashion & Style reported that Luke Hemmings of 5 Seconds of Summer is closely collaborating with Bonnie McKee, the hit maker behind smash hits for pop superstars Katy Perry and Britney Spears. 

McKee has confirmed her professional involvement with Hemmings and the rest of the guys on Twitter with a photo of herself and guitarist Ashton Irwin posting, "Just writing songs about sexy stuff."

Also, the Australian band keeps their fans updated with their latest photos on their official website in the studio captioned as, "So good too see the dudes again ❤MISSED THEM LIKE CRAZY!!!! Back in the studio writing. So happy to be making music again... happy happy soul. A new day... A new song."

5 Seconds of Summer will go for their first global solo tour this summer titled, "Rock with Your Socks Off."
