TLC has renewed 'Sister Wives' for Season 6. As the current season concludes on Sunday March 1, Meri Brown will reveal the reasons for divorcing her polygamist ex-husband, Kody Brown.

Ahead of the TLC series' finale, the network released a teaser that revealed it was Meri Brown who decided to divorce Kody Brown, and clarifying her decision for doing it. She also explained why their family approved that their sister Robyn should marry Kody.  The family described the move as "legally restructuring" in a statement.

"The word 'divorce' is like shattering glass," Kody says in the video.

According to The WRAP, Kody and the Sister Wives - Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn - have faced struggles within their relationships and with children leaving the nest, all of which will come to be the most emotional season finales to date.

It was previously reported by TMZ that Meri wanted to end her marriage to Kody because her whole family agreed that their sister Robyn should marry him next.

Many reports also claimed that if Robyn marrying Kody, it would mean the three children from a previous marriage will be given legal custody.

Meanwhile, according to US Weekly, the network confirmed that the season's finale will run for two hours. The episode starts at 8 p.m. and will be followed by a 9 p.m. tell-all interview.

The tell-all interview with all the cast members by "Today" show co-host, Tamron Hall, is "no holds barred." It was confirmed that the show will be open to discuss all types of topics.

In support of the idea that there is no such thing as bad publicity in reality TV programming, TLC has officially announced they have renewed 'Sister Wives' for a sixth season. The network scheduled the next season of the show to air in the fall of 2015.

The reality TV series 'Sister Wives' is produced by Figure 8 Films in association with Puddle Monkey Productions for TLC.
