"Kingdom Hearts 3" is the latest game in the Kingdom Hearts game series and it is one of the most highly awaited games developed by Square Enix in collaboration with Disney. It gained a lot of fans and followers due to its simplicity and deep gameplay. Its roster of characters also added to the popularity of the game especially the in-game Disney characters.

Due to its popularity, rumored release date for "Kingdom Hearts 3" constantly spawns around the web. However, in a report made by Crossmap, one of the voice actors of the game, Bill Farmer, tweeted his followers that there will be a Kingdom Hearts 3 this year. The voice actor for "Goofy" said that he had been recording for the game for almost a year and he presume that it is nearly done and ready for release.

Fans go crazy over the news when it broke out. However, Square Enix made a quick announcement and tweeted that "There was a Goof! The release date for @KINGDOMHEARTS III remains unannounced." Goofy voice actor then deleted his initial tweet and replaced it with a new tweet saying that "The release date for Kingdom Hearts Three has not been announced yet!"

However, fans of Kingdom Hearts can still expect a new game this year since according to Hardcore Gamer, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD may be released this year. They have reported that some signs and hints have been indicated in the previous Kingdom Hearts release that leads to the plot in Dream Drop Distance. An example will be the new ending in Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix wherein, Young Xehanort, the main antagonist in the Dream Drop Distance, visited Braig who is also known as Xigbar. Afterwards, the scene ends with "Reconnect. Kingdom Hearts" which is a clear indication for the fans that there is a sequel to follow. It was also reported that the ending credits for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix contains some scenes in Dream Drop Distance. Square Enix has the reputation of connecting scenes from one of their Kingdom Hearts release to another.

Latin Times reported some details with regards to the gameplay of "Kingdom Hearts 3". According to their source, the Keyblade weapon of Sora, the game protagonist, will have at least four different transformations. Two will be guns that fires projectiles, another is a sword variation and the last one is a powerful single shot cannon. Keyblades play an important role in the overall gameplay and story of Kingdom Hearts and it is one of the most well designed aspects of the game.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" may not get a release this year. However fans can still expect a new Kingdom Hearts release this year, "Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD." Hopefully Square Enix releases an Official Announcement with regard to this.
