Kate Gosselin is not known for having a sense of humor. The reality star, formerly of "Jon & Kate Plus 8," then "Kate Plus 8" after she sheared away her husband, is mostly known for being a control freak- endless details of what her many children can and can't do, say, wear, eat and almost any other action a child could take.

So this Twitter update is a bit of a surprise- Kate Gosselin, cracking a joke? Who'd have thunk it.

On Twitter, she recently posted the picture of her old "Jon & Kate Plus 8" haircut (seen above), along with the caption:

"LOL. I barely remember when my hair was that short! RT @FunnyPicsDepot: The "Why is my son not starting?" Haircut"

Refreshing to know that even the most terrifying reality TV stars can still have a sense of humor- and about themselves, too.

According to a piece in Enstars, the old 'do was regularly mocked, and those mockings may have been the reason she abandoned her old hair, opting for a much more traditional style nowadays. Although even that, she's had to defend. Another Twitter post from Gosselin claims she doesn't use hair extensions today- even though many seem to think she does.

"Fyi @TLC I don't have extensions and haven't had them for 3 years!!! It's all MY hair! #Sigh.."

According to the piece in Enstars, Gosselin has also recently been accused of bullying her fans- something that's not good for someone with her already poor reputation. The new haircut (extensions or no extensions) might be Gosselin's way of trying to cultivate a new public image amidst all these accusations.

Or it could just be a haircut. Who knows?
