Google rejected half the requests made by Kate Upton's boyfriend, Justin Verlander, for the removal of links to the leaked photo scandal.

It has been almost two weeks since the private photos of Kate Upton and other celebrities were leaked, but until now some of them are still in circulation. This is despite celebrities like Upton and Lawrence being represented by their lawyers saying that the act is an invasion of privacy.

According to Classicalite, Upton's attorney made it clear that they will do everything to stop the scandal. Though it was not because of her lawyers, Upton's images will not be used in an exhibit anymore. Epoch Times mentions the Cory Allen Contemporary Art museum stepping back from an intended use of the "stolen" images for their exhibit because of the overwhelming number of people who sympathized with the victims.

However, Google is proving to be a major setback.

According to Torrent Freak, Verlander has instructed his lawyers to contact Google regarding requests for the takedown of links to photos of Upton and himself. Verlander's lawyers allegedly requested for hundreds of links to be removed. However, according to the article, Google "took a while" to come to a decision, and that decision was to leave 55% of the links untouched.

This isn't to say that all the images remain available, as Torrent Freak says that some of the "untouched" links already had the original content removed and didn't need any changing. Other links supposedly pointing to Upton's photos were of random women, which Google did not remove.

The article thinks that Google may have denied Verlander's request if he claimed to own image copyright, which would only apply to pictures where he is present.

Google has only responded to the first batch of Verlander's request and it remains to be seen how the other requests will go.

While Verlander has been asking for the links to be removed from Google's index, Upton has allegedly been busy with Sports Illustrated where the star appeared in a video of a cruise in Antarctica.

The article also mentions that Upton likes being photographed in the nude, but she refuses to pose for such "because she feels her pictures will be perceived in a wrong manner due to the attention they will gain from the social media."

Her leaked nudes seem to be doing exactly that.
