Trends in the middle market private equity marketplace will be discussed by a panel of experts from GE Capital, MidSpan Partners and Blackrock Kelso on May 31, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. at the Omni San Francisco Hotel. The event, “The Journey to the Middle Market: A Perspective from Private Equity and Banking Dealmakers,” will cover sourcing, financing, deal flow, competition, and which verticals are seeing the most growth and exits. Panelists will also discuss M&A or IPO, and where each fits into the market given the current environment.

Dr. John Paglia, finance professor and director of the Pepperdine Private Capital Markets Project at the Graziadio School of Business and Management, will present a forecast based on recent research. The Pepperdine Private Capital Markets Project is an ongoing academic investigation of the decision-making factors and market conditions influencing investors and capital providers, as well as the privately-held businesses they serve.

The event is hosted by the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University.
