The fifth and final episode (would you call it a finale?) for Telltale Games' second season of "The Walking Dead" has been released to unbelievable praise. Nearly every outlet in existence is lauding the games' storytelling, its immersion, its ability to craft compelling characters we can relate to/ hate with an unending passion (whichever's necessary, really).

So with that in mind, Telltale has already announced a third season of the game.

KpopStarz confirms the news- they report that while Telltale has a lot on its plate for a single studio (next up is a "Borderlands" spin-off, and a tie-in game for the HBO series "Game of Thrones"), they'll also be putting another season of "The Walking Dead" into development.

They also add that we should expect the game to release somewhere in the late 2015/ early 2016 range.

Telltale has actually been talking about another "Walking Dead" season for quite some time. They first spoke on the subject at this year's Comic-Con. The news was confirmed on Telltale's official Tumblr page, along with a quote from Telltale Games President Kevin Bruner and the original "Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman:

"There WILL be a 3rd season of The Walking Dead from Telltale!"

As well, VGamerz confirms the report, adding on to the original Comic-Con quote. Here's what was said in its entirety:

"Will there be a Season 3? Ok... there WILL be a Season 3. Yes, we are going to be making Season 3. - And it's coming SOON? No, it will be coming LATER. Not this year [...] but 2015."

Not surprisingly, this also confirms what KpopStarz has just reported- most likely 2015 for the game's release (naturally, since the "Walking Dead" games release in episodes and not in seasons, we'll see installments go from 2015 through 2016, most likely).

Check back soon for the latest on Telltale Games' "The Walking Dead."
