The past month has been bleak for Ariana Grande with her grandfather's passing but the 21-year old singer is claiming as early as now that August will be a better month for her.

Could the reason be her rumored relationship with fellow artist Big Sean?

The rapper, who collaborated with Ariana for three of her songs, ("Problem", "Right There", and upcoming single "Beautiful Mistake") has been connected to the Nickelodeon alumnus after the two have been spotted going to the movies together. Singersroom reports that the duo were snapped leaving the theater arm in arm on August 3 but other sources say that there is something more that happened inside the movie house. Fellow movie-goer Mohammed AlNashmi tweeted @ArianaGrande @BigSean "haha :) they were kissing each other all movie long behind me :p."

The tweet has been deleted since then but rumors about the new couple are still circulating. Just recently, Big Sean has also posted a picture of himself with Grande's dog with the caption, "Ophelia's a pretty girl."

The two have been spending a lot of time together to promote Ariana's song and both have recently broken up with their partners as well. Big Sean has cut his ties with ex-fiance Naya Rivera who married Ryan Dorsey only after two months of cancelling their engagement while Ariana broke up with ex-flame Jai Brooks because he was apparently too "immature" for her.

The Latinpost spills that Ariana felt Jai wasn't there for her during her grandfather's death. A source even shares saying "When her grandfather was dying, everyone was there for her. People flew to Florida to be with her, but Jai didn't. Ariana just felt he wasn't there like he should have been."

On the other hand, some sources insist that Ariana and Big Sean are just friends. Newsday.com dishes that a source close to the singer claimed that the two have been close since forever. "They've been really great friends for the past three years. Her mom is like his mom. Totally not true."
