Kristen Stewart recently said goodbye to her neon orange hair, as the "Twilight" star sported a more subdued color, yet still short haircut at a press appearance in Tokyo on Saturday.

Stewart had dyed her hair a bright shade of orange for her role back then for "American Ultra." The actress appeared to have loved the slightly washed-out version of her hair in the new color even though filming had wrapped, E! Online said. The 24-year old actor also kept the color when she cut off her hair to a very short length in July. But when Stewart made an appearance on August 2 to promote her new movie, she had gone back to her originally brunette hair color, which raises questions as to whether it meant something, especially after the fact that her ex, Robert Pattinson, had finally opened up about their relationship.

US Weekly said the "Twilight" star attended a press appearance for her movie "Equals", where she debuted her new hair color in a wet, combed-back style. The actor appeared in the event with co-star Nicholas Hoult, producer Michael Pruss, and film director Drake Doremus. According to the magazine, the filming for the futuristic movie would be in Japan and Singapore and is slated to begin this month.

Stewart's change of hair color might really have no meaning, or most likely, be because of her new movie, but one could not help whether she had any reaction to Pattinson's remarks about their relationship. In an interview with magazine Esquire UK, the actor fessed up that he does not understand all the commotion surrounding his relationship with his former co-star.

He said as quoted by Christian Today, "I don't understand why. I think it goes through periods where you're assigned 'this is the guy to follow'. But whenever I see a bunch of paparazzi hanging out, I always think, 'Oh God, what have they found out!' Oh, that love child! I totally forgot! S*** happens, you know? It's just young people ... it's normal! And honestly, who gives a s***?"
