After the launch of iOS 7.1.2 update, there had been certain complaints regarding wrong regional holidays appearing on the calendar of iPads and iPhones. Reportedly, Apple is launching a minor bug fixing update- iOS 7.1.3 in order to remove issues from the previous update.

Although, beta version of iOS 8 is already available, which is set to launch this fall, Apple users might receive a final update to its 7th series of operating system to fix the issues faced by its users. This update will come before the release of iOS 8.

It is also being said that the new update iOS 7.1.3 will solve the issue of battery drain, which is again one of the problems being faced by iPhone users since the iOS 7.1.2 update. Users had reported that the battery consumption on their device had increased highly after the last update served by Apple.

Reportedly, some other issues that the users are facing after installing iOS 7.1.2 on their devices are Wi-Fi instability, bugs with the camera and iMessage.

The calendar issue first came to notice in Lithuania, where some users received holiday alerts for Hong Kong, Mexico, Canada instead of Lithuanian holidays after setting their region.

The exact date for the launch of iOS 7.1.3 update hasn't been announced yet, but speculations are that it would be released within this month.

Before treating users to a new iOS, Apple does want to make sure that their existing platforms are functioning flawlessly.
