Samsung has launched its Galaxy SE LTE-A variant hinting at what the company wants to achieve in the future with its smartphones. The latest S5 variant also proves that Samsung wants to do more with its devices challenging more competitors in the high end sector. Whereas some expected the Korean tech giant to come up with another S5 edition with just a few upgrades, the LTE-A variant surprised the market offering more premium features - some even claimed it kills the original S5 flagship easily.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A variant launched in Korea recently with reports from Forbes saying that it easily blows out the original Galaxy S5 in terms of specs. More importantly, some reports claim that it may be a sneak peak of the upcoming premium line of Samsung: Galaxy S5 Prime/Galaxy F.

The iPhone 6 will not release until fall and it appears Samsung continues to take advantage of the gap months. According to Forbes, although some consumers may find the name of the device unattractive, the device delivers some impressive specs. Samsung has created a specified smartphone.

When LG launched the G3, it set the standards for smartphone displays. Samsung challenges that showing they can also do the same offering a QHD display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. The LG G3 comes with a 5.5-inch QHD display while the LTE-A variant comes with a 5.1-inch display. This allows Samsung to offer a higher pixel density reaching up to 577ppi. The device offers the highest pixel density presently on the market.

The iPhone 5s comes with 326ppi while the G3 comes with 534ppi. Although the device offers high pixel density, some analysts argue that consumers can only discern as much HD quality thus it may not matter for some. What sets the device apart from other smartphones is the Snapdragon 805 processor. It is the first of its kind to run on the chipset. The device also offers some considerable upgrades like 2.7GHz quad-core Krait 450 over 2.45GHz quad-core Krait 400 processor. Other features include 3GB RAM and 718MHz Adreno 420.

According to notorious tipster @evleaks, Samsung may go for the Galaxy S5 Prime or another premium line with the Galaxy F. The tipster already leaked gold hues of the variant. Some analysts believe the S5 LTE-A is a sneak peak of might come.
