"Better Call Saul," a spinoff of the hit AMC TV series "Breaking Bad" has not even started airing yet, but AMC recently announced that it's already been renewed for a second season.

Created by Vince Gilligan ("Breaking Bad") and Peter Gould, the show was originally slated for a November release, but the network has moved this to early 2015. It will have a total of 10 episodes.

"Better Call Saul" is a crime drama that will focus on the story of Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), the lawyer of Breaking Bad's Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a high school science teacher turned meth kingpin.

"When introducing any series, especially one with the DNA of Breaking Bad, there are countless factors to consider in making sure the show gets the launch it deserves," said AMC president Charlie.

Collier added: "We have a strong history with Vince, Peter [Gould], Bob, the studio and so many involved with this production; we are enjoying the process on Saul and all share a focus on making it a true television event. No half measures."

Breaking Bad's Jonathan Banks, who plays Saul's trusted private investigator Mike will also return to the spinoff. Daniel Moncada, who played hitman Leonel Salamanca, may also appear in the series, after he posted a photo of him visiting Gilligan in in Albuquerque.

It hasn't been confirmed if Cranston or his Breaking Bad co-star Aaron Paul will make an appearance, but Paul said that he wants in: "I hope that [Bryan and I] might be able to play our characters again in Better Call Saul," he told the Huffington Post.

Meanwhile, AMC has announced that its other hit show "The Walking Dead" will air in October this year. There will be Fourth of July specials in July--a season 5 preview edition of the "Talking Dead" and two documentaries.

The second season of "Better Call Saul" will have 13 episodes.
