The final episode of "The Mentalist" is said to be full of drama, romance, thrills, and time warp.

"Up until now if you're comparing it to Moby Dick, which is one of the analogies I used to describe the length of the chase, next season the whale has been sighted and they're in the small boats and chasing the whale," Bruno Heller, the screenwriter and creator of the show, said.

In the last season, Patrick Jane has conveyed his love for Teresa Lisbon as he broke all the airplane rules and sacrificed his life after hauling from the plane.

"The Mentalist Season 6 finale is going to make a lot of people really happy, and I think it's going to make some people angry.... I don't think anyone will feel in the middle of the road about it," Robin Tunney said prior to the last season's finale, reported by TV Line. Despite the immense romance between the characters, most say CBS wasn't happy on how did the finale go.

Now that Jane and Lisbon are together, where is the show headed? According to an Enstarz and Stabley Times report, the show would be on a time warp where the story would send the scenario years to the future.

"It goes on, and sometimes on and on, and do you give the audience what they want, or do you keep the flirtation and tease going? Is that really what they want? Is that what they like - to want something? Because as soon as you seal any sort of a deal with anything, it's like 'Well, that's that, and from there where do we go?' There are plenty of places always to go, but it's a risk and a challenge," said a report by TV Line.

The series will only have thirteen episodes in which they will be concluding everything on such a fast pace. Heller stated that "The Mentalist" has another mystery every week. It may also change its Sunday timeslot.

It is said "The Mentalist" isn't as high as the other Sunday's shows ratings which led into losing CBS's prioritizing the show. Meanwhile, the writers of the series are reported to be back on track into working with the new season.

Despite the excitement, CBS has not confirmed and finalized any airing date yet.
