September always comes off as a big month for Apple. According to analysts, the tech giant will also be releasing its 2014 MacBook Pro series around that time. The release timeline will also make way for other Apple products like the iPhone 6, iPad and the iMac. To mark a major improvement with its MacBook series, Apple will reportedly feature Intel Broadwell chips, a fanless design and a new trackpad. Can the upcoming MacBooks outperform their predecessors?

Analysts and tech observers were previously limited to predictions about a fanless MacBook design. Fortunately for Intel's recent announcement, the fanless approach may soon be a reality. According to Intel, the company just developed new a 14nm Core M Broadwell processor. As per the company's announcement:

"The Intel® CoreTM M processor will deliver the most energy-efficient Intel Core processor in the company's history. The majority of designs based on this new chip are expected to be fanless ..."

KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted about the 12-inch fanless MacBook device. Kuo's reputation for putting out reliable tips or predictions about Apple kept talks about the 12-inch device and fanless design alive. According to the analyst, Apple should be getting ready for a September release. However, there may be a slight delay to the timeline as Intel CEO Brian Krzanich claimed production of the chips have been delayed but release of the chips will be inevitable. According to Intel's CEO quoted by Reuters:

"I can guarantee for holiday, and not at the last second of holiday...Back to school - that's a tight one. Back to school you have to really have it on-shelf in July, August. That's going to be tough."

In line with the MacBook Pro release, a new patent was published under the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The invention describes the use of actuator and sensors to replace the "clickable" integrated button found on the keyboard before. The upcoming trackpad will provide tactile feedback for enhanced experience. The patent goes by the title Touch pad with force sensors and actuator feedback" under U.S. Patent No. 8,633,916.
