Samsung Galaxy devices have started featuring a new feature called the S-Pen. Receiving positive reviews, the component has been one of the most useful specs of Samsung's devices. Here are some tips and tricks on using the S-Pen.

1.)    Pressure Sensitivity

Just like writing with a pen or pencil on a piece of paper, the harder you press your S pen to the screen of your Samsung device, the thicker and fuller the brush stroke will be. This will turn simple markings into complicated sketches.

2.)    Enabling the S-Pen Input Method

The S-Pen can be used on any application where you would normally use the keyboard. Open an application that requires you to use the keyboard (or create a message). Press and hold the microphone button, then a window will pop-up. Tap the box with the letter "T" and a small pen. To change back to the normal keyboard, do the same thing in reverse.

3.)    Air View

Air View registers when the S-Pen is hovered above the screen, which shows something depending on what you're hovering above. When hovering over the timeline in a video, you will be shown a preview with a specific frame from the video. You can then tap the S-Pen to go straight to that scene and enjoy watching. While hovering over your email inbox, you can see a preview of the message.

4.)    Easy Clip

Ever wanted to take a screenshot of just a part of your screen? Draw around any area of your screen with the S-Pen button held down, and whatever you have drawn around will be clipped and saved immediately. You can then edit, share or just keep the screenshot.

5.)    Quick Commands

Using quick commands are easily accessible when you hold down the button and swipe up with the S-Pen. This will bring up a window wherein you can draw or choose symbols. These symbols can be used to quickly surf the Internet, call a friend, send a message or an email, as well as open any application like the Maps or Stocks application.
