NEW HAVEN, CT--(Marketwired - May 20, 2014) -  Woodbridge International, a global mergers and acquisitions firm, is pleased to announce the opening of our new office in Frankfurt, Germany. The new location strengthens Woodbridge's presence in Europe, allowing the firm to provide a full range of cross-border investment banking services to German companies seeking divestitures, acquisitions and joint ventures.

Woodbridge's Frankfurt office is headed by Managing Director, Karl-Ludwig Diehl, a seasoned-based investment banker, with decades of financial advisory and transaction experience. Research analyst Martin Kriewald will join Karl-Ludwig.

Karl brings 20 years of M&A experience to Woodbridge International. He has acted as an advisor to sellers and buyers across various business sectors and has completed many successful transactions in Germany and cross border. Karl has worked on numerous M&A mandates in distribution, manufacturing, chemistry and business services, and he continues to assist business owners and buyers through the process of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures in the lower middle-market. Earlier in his career, Karl was CEO at a plastics and metal working company with international activities, where he spent over fifteen years in a variety of key management roles. He also was nominated in several supervisory and advisory boards in manufacturing and services industries. Karl graduated as Diplom-Kaufmann in Business Administration at University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany.

Prior to joining Woodbridge, Martin Kriewald received a Diploma in Business Law. He brings along a variety of skills in research, analysis and presentation of companies, as well as project management for very complex cases.
