The iPhone 5s has been one of the best selling smartphones around. Although Apple will be releasing a new phone this year, the iPhone 5s has built a strong consumer fan base. Here are some tips and tricks that can help users make the most out of their devices

1.)    Stop music with a timer

-Have you ever played music while getting into bed at night, but fall asleep without turning the music off? You can use a timer to stop the music for you automatically after a certain period of time. Tap on Clock>Timer>When Timer Ends then press Stop Playing. Set the amount of time you want (let's say 15 minutes), then tap start. Your music will automatically stop playing after 15 minutes.

2.)    Find a word or a phrase in a web page

-In safari, type in the word in the search bar on the top right and tap Search. In the results page, scroll all the way down and you will see how many words were found on the web pages. Tap on the searched word/phrase and you will be directed back to the web page with the searched word/phrase highlighted in yellow.

3.)    Undo and redo typing

-You can shake your iPhone and tap undo typing to delete what you just typed. If you changed your mind about deleting what you typed, no worries! You can simply shake your iPhone again and tap redo typing to retrieve the message.

4.)    Take a burst of photos

-You can tap and hold the capture button, and your iPhone will take photos at a speed of up to 10 photos per second. The photos will then be put in a subfolder in your camera roll wherein you can pick the good ones and delete the undesirable photos.

5.)    Record slow-mo videos

The iPhone 5S has a slow-motion video option that can be activated by opening the Camera application and swiping right two times. You can tap the thumbnail at the lower left portion of your screen to review your video, as well as drag the markers in the timeline to dictate where you want the slow motion effect to start and stop.
