Samsung made the headlines once it announced its Samsung Galaxy S5 device at the Mobile World Congress 2014. With improved and additional features, the Samsung Galaxy S5 has been considered as one of the most powerful smartphones around. Nonetheless, similar to other smartphones, it does not appeal to everyone. Samsung has this in mind as the company reportedly has started preparing for the release of the Galaxy S5 Mini and the Galaxy Note 4.

Samsung has been popular for releasing multiple variants of its flagship phones. The Samsung Galaxy S5 will not be any different. According to a report by the Motoring Crunch, the upcoming S5 Mini will ship with a 4.5" Super AMOLED screen and 720p display. The device should target the mid-end market as opposed to the high end focus of the Samsung Galaxy S5.

Under the hood, the upcoming mini version will reportedly feature 16GB internal storage, 1.5GB RAM, Snapdragon 400 processor, 8MP primary camera, 2MP front camera, Android 4.4 KitKat and 2100mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will combine features powerful enough but not as hefty on the price tag as that of the Galaxy S5.

The more affordable price of the device should appeal more to people against the expensive tag on the Samsung Galaxy S5. The report also noted that this may be the reason why the S5 Mini has been generating more hype compared to its predecessor.

As for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, a Samsung official told Korea Times that the company plans on unveiling the product during the IFA Trade Fair this September. Samsung has released its Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy Note 3 at the same event. It should be the same for the Galaxy Note 4.

Reported features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 include: Snapdragon 801 or 6-cores Exynos processor, 4GM RAM, 128GB internal memory, 3600mAh battery, 20.7MP camera including 4K recording capabilities. Samsung has not made official announcements about the devices yet.
