On Tuesday, Mozilla Firefox has revealed its first major refresh on its interface. This was the first since the web browser has re-launched in 2011. The move was for Mozilla to be competitive in the industry.

The massive changes come with new features and menus during a challenging phase for the leaders of the company. Mozilla has been confronted with internal issues after Brendan Eich, Mozilla’s co-founder and longtime executive, has been promoted to the CEO office and stepped down after 11 days. Eich’s resignation followed after a public outcry of his support for an anti-gay marriage legislation being passed in California.

There had been more than 1300 changes in the web browser including the graphical menu that can be customized and a rounded tabs that lets users know they are in the tab among other tabs opened. The improvements for Firefox 29 for PCs has been introduced to make the Sync feature of the cross browser less complicated.

According to Firefox’s VP Jonathan Nightingale, "People are using the Web differently than they used to and we need to give them a richer set of tools for customizing the way that they experience the Web."
