WireCo WorldGroup Inc has purchased the assets of Dutch firm Endenburg BV. WireCo will open a new crane rope distribution facility in Gouda called WireCo Crane Center, according to Steel Guru. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed in the said report.

WireCo senior vice president Blake Chandler said of the transaction: "The new WireCo Crane Rope Distribution Center in Gouda will allow WireCo to adjust to changing markets by reducing order to shipment turnaround time, while also providing new opportunities to improve services to our distributors. This new facility establishes a key central stocking location with good inland transportation routes near the Rotterdam Port, allowing WireCo to provide quicker response times to support both our European and international distributors."

Under the terms of the deal, the Gouda facility will exclusively supply materials to WireCo's distributors and manufacturers. The new facility near Rotterdam port will give WireCo better access to its target market and a 24-hour shipment turnaround, the report explained.

Established in 1855, Endenburg is a company that supplies steel wire ropes, shackles, tarpaulin covers, fiber ropes, and other lifting gear for the construction and transport sectors. After the acquisition, the company will cease to use its name and will be integrated with WireCo. Endenburg's facility is currently located in Gouda, Netherlands, Steel Guru reported.
