Wealthy individuals now have an online way to invest in Hollywood movies that are already fully funded through Junction Investments. The Texas-based startup is set to start operating on Wednesday, according to NDTV.

Co-founder Brian Goldsmith explained the mechanism of the investment: "Investors aren't being asked to put money into projects that more experienced financiers have already passed on. Experienced investors already have skin in the game."

The startup allows a group made up of high-net individuals or accredited investors to team up for a $1-million equity in a certain company. It will begin by offering people an opportunity to invest in "A Hologram for the King," a movie featuring Tom Hanks. Next in line is "Triple Nine" which stars Kate Winslet, the report detailed.

Goldsmith and former Goldman Sachs banker Adam Kaufman founded Junction in 2012 when they were exploring ideas for a new business. They eventually decided to start a crowdfunding company that focused on the entertainment sector, NDTV reported.
