Led Zeppelin guitarist, Jimmy Page to receive honorary musical doctorate from Berklee College

Led Zeppelin guitarist, Jimmy Page will receive honorary doctorate of music on May 10th from Berklee College of music at 7,000 seater Agganis Arena at Boston University.

In an email to Rolling Stone, Page expresses his gratuity,  "It's truly an honour to be the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate at Berklee as the music of America has been a primary driving force in my early years and pivotal to my musical development."

Others who will be along side Jimmy Page as honorees for their musical achievements include Geri Allen, jazz pianist, composer, and song writer; Valerie Simpson, singer, songwriter, and producer; Thara Memory, jazz trumpeter, composer, and educator. 

Past honorees from this prestigious school include George Clinton, Loretta Lyn, David Bowie, and Carole King.
