Early Thursday morning, two people were reportedly killed after a gray Toyota sedan crashed into the SXSW crowd in Austin, Texas. The South By Southwest festival was confronted with sudden shock after an alleged drunk driver crashed the audience. This was according to a report from The Huffington Post.

There were at least 23 other people who were injured and 5 of them were in critical condition, reported The Associated Press.
The report went on saying that a police officer who was part of an anti-drunk driving task force tried to halt a suspected drunk driver around 12:30 a.m. However, the driver evaded the stop and speed off to the wrong direction. When the alleged drunk driver took a turn on a one way road, he plowed through a barricade which was intended to put a road block as the SXSW festival was going on.

However, the driver went overboard for two more blocks hitting a crowd of pedestrians who were in line outside the Mohawk Club, Red River Street.
