United Airlines will begin rolling out a free in-flight entertainment service system for iOS and laptops in April, according to TechCrunch.

The said service has a catalog of 150 movies and 200 TV shows that United passengers can stream via their laptop browser or the United iOS app. However, it is not yet known when the service will be available for Android devices, the report detailed.

According to Apple Insider, the entertainment system will be first available in the models Airbus A319, Airbus A320, Boeing 747-400 and some 777-200 models. United aims to roll out the service across most of its local fleet by year-end, the report explained.

United's February press release mentioned that laptop users need a browser plugin to use the service. On the other hand, users of iOS gadgets can use the United app to watch movies and TV shows. They can also view other programs without the need of a plugin through the United Portal, the report stated.
