Concept Art House and Chinese firm Talkweb teamed up to launch mobile game distributor Spellgun. The newly-launched startup will bring Western mobile games to the Chinese market, according to an exclusive report by VentureBeat.

Talkweb Chief Executive Officer XingYu Li said: "Talkweb has focused our support on China's mobile sector since 1996. We believe that our investment into Concept Art House not only strengthens their ability to continue on a successful path, it also allows us to extend our reach to the North American market."

Under the terms of the joint effort, Talkweb will invest an undisclosed amount in Concept Art House and Spellgun will become its sister company. The partnership aims to create an easier way for North American mobile games to penetrate China's mobile market. Spellgun and Talkweb will be in charge of publishing the games in various Chinese app stores, the report explained.

Formed in 1996, Talkweb has now established links with mobile game distributors in China. At present, it employs 2,000 workers across its 29 branches in in San Francisco and China, VentureBeat reported.
