300 Rise of An Empire is a parallelquel to the 300 movie. TheGuardian reported a review on the movie and said it was both dull and bloody although it was entertaining.

According to TheGuardian review, 300 Rise of An Empire features a softer Michael Bay. The movie can be likened to be a parallel of the first 300 movie that showed the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC. The movie stars Eva Green who played a good role in the movie showing off her most of the time frowning face, butt strutting and pouting. The movie was co-written by Zack Snyder along with Kurt Johnstad. The movie was directed by Noam Murro which based the new 300 on the graphic novel Xerxes by Frank Miller. However, TheGuardian review mentioned that it was quite odd that the character of Xerxes did not appear that much in the entire film.

TheGuardian review also referred to the film as pretty much dull with the same moments of silliness. The same frowning faces were seen and the digitally enhanced abs of the characters still made a mark in the film, the review added. Meanwhile, the review said that the best line in the film was when the Spartan Queen Gorgo responded to Themistokle's visit, she said "You've come a long way to stroke your cock, while you watch real men train."
