Home rental platform HomeAway has added guest management startup Glad to Have You. The value of the acquisition deal was not disclosed, according to VentureBeat.

Under the terms of the said transaction, Glad will continue to exist as a company separate from HomeAway. The deal is advantageous for HomeAway because its clients could make great use of Glad's service. The latter's mobile apps allows rental or vacation properties to communicate and recommend services to their guests, the report explained.

HomeAway founder Brian Sharples lauded Glad's product: "The GLAD team has created a hit product that has received rave reviews from both suppliers and travelers, and we expect it to have a meaningful impact on HomeAway's customer experience by bringing an even higher level of hospitality and professionalism to our existing mobile product suite."

According to HomeAway, it is planning to let property managers use Glad's GladOwners mobile application for free. The pro version of the app, however, will still cost $10 per month, VentureBeat reported.
