Facebook is working double time to resolve a security problem on its mobile app, according to VentureBeat.

Usually, Facebook allows users to take back permissions from apps that they no longer want. Earlier this week, MyPermissions co-founder Olivier Amar's engineers accidentally discovered that they could not remove they had previously downloaded. They also could not disconnect the said apps' permissions from the site itself, the report detailed.

The engineers of Facebook told Amar that they hope to have the glitch resolved by Friday, the report stated.

Amar said his team of 10 still has to determine if the breach was caused by a hardware or software bug. According to security experts, the security hole is a cause of concern because it could lead to data theft, the report explained.

MyPermissions has closed more than $1 million in venture capital last year. This Israel-based mobile app manages and protects data of users and the way it is shares across websites. Whenever a user's login details are synched to other sites or apps, MyPermission alerts the user by sending a notification, VentureBeat reported.
