
With the Xbox One finally released, the console war is finally on its way to determine who will be king of the console. Released one week after Sony's Playstation 4, the Xbox One aims to become a mainstay in the living room for it is specifically designed to be an all in one central entertainment hub.
Marc Whitten, corporate vice president of Xbox Live, said it's only the beginning of how Microsoft thinks people will use their consoles as home entertainment centers. Whitten also said that Kinect, originally promoted as a tool for hands-free gaming, is increasingly becoming a focal point for the entire Xbox system.
Xbox One, which sold for USD 499, allows users to use Kinect voice and its motion controller to call out favorite television shows or movies, split the TV screen between two different applications and even record and share gameplay with friends on the internet.
