Budimex to sell company to Equity Investors

Private equity firm Equity Investors would be buying one of the companies of Poland-based builder Budimex. The transaction would be worth PLN 238.6 million or USD 77.37 million, according to a statement issued Wednesday. Budimex is the biggest listed construction firm on the Warsaw stock exchange.

Budimex Chief Executive Officer Darius Blocher said about the transaction, "The sale of Budimex Danwood will have a one-off, significant and positive impact on Budimex results in 2013."

Budimex is the Polish arm of Madrid-based design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance firm. The company focuses on infrastructure in the urban, transport and services sector.

According to another press release on November 5, Ferrovial was ranked by the magazine Public Works Financing as the leading transportation developer ranked in terms of invested capital in 2013. Ferrovial's operational infrastructures could also be found in the US, Canada and the UK. According to PWF, the total invested capital of Ferrovial is USD 73.5 billion.
