Tailwind gathers USD 1 million in seed funds in round led by venture capital firm i2e

Tailwind announced that it was able to obtain USD 1 million in seed financing. The round was led was multi-stage venture capital firm i2e. It was also participated in by SeedStep Angels and other individual investors. Tailwind is the Software-as-a- Service analytics and marketing platform of Pinterest. It allows clients to gauge the impact of their brand among Pinterest users using their robust reporting tools.

Tailwind said it would use proceeds from the round to add to their workforce in Oklahoma and New York. Tailwind Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Danny Maloney said expanding the team in the two states would enable them to quickly enhance their platform and thus secure the company's lead in the market.

Maloney added, "We're grateful to have such a strong list of investors supporting the growth of Tailwind and sharing our vision for a world where all marketing will be social. So far in 2013 our user base has grown twenty-five fold thanks to our awesome teammates, the recent acquisition of PinReach, and the effort by our loyal customers in helping shape our platform."
