Kuwait's NAS providing expertise in improving Ariana Afghan Airlines

The National Aviation Services of Kuwait had entered into a ten year USD16 million deal to provide expertise in the improvement of airport facilities in Afghanistan. This comes after Ariana Airlines admitted that the services and facilities were 'not up to the mark' according to news reports.

The Minister for Economy of Afghanistan, Hadi Arghandiwal announced the airport deal in KAbu, saying that the deal would be between Kuwait's NAS and the state owned Ariana Afghan Airlines.

He admitted that in the past twelve years, the services of Aryana Airlines have not met international aviation standards. With this as the backdrop, the Afghan cabinet had ordered the Afghani flag carrier to improve its services. This was confirmed by KUNA, the Kuwaiti state news agency.

The National Aviation services was described as having its headquarters in Kuwait and is one of the foremost and reputable aviation services provider having a regional presence in the Gulf region and financial backing from the same sector.
