Amdocs acquired Celcite Management Solutions LLC for USD129 million in cash. This was according to a report published by Converge Network Digest on its website.

Celcite is a Virginia-based company that specializes in self-optimizing network (SON) and network management solutions. It markets an OSS system that can use geo-location and automatic correlation for the automation of a given network, the report said.

According to Amdocs, its recent purchase would help the company improve and expand its network software services. Amdocs aimed to provide a wide range of services for hybrid mobile networks to communication service providers. This would reportedly include solutions that can further propel the rollout of LTE, small cells, and WiFi. Furthermore, Amdocs's acquisition would reportedly improve its Customer Experience Systems portfolio using QOS-focused network data to drive optimization. The company believed that it would be the first in the market to supply customer-centered network optimization software and services, as said by the Converge Network Digest.
