Private equity firm Centerview Capital made a significant equity investment in Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine. Financial details about the deal were not disclosed. Centerview Capital is an affiliate of Centerview Partners, an investment banking and advisory company. Ole Smoky is the first federally licensed distiller in East Tennessee. A distiller of premium moonshine, its lineup of products include Original Moonshine, Peach Moonshine, White Lightnin', Apple Pie Moonshine and Blackberry Moonshine.

Ole Smoky said it would use proceeds from the new investment to accelerate growth. It has now made its moonshine products available to 49 states and Canada. The distillery added a 20,000 square feet facility to quadruple its bottling capacity in order meet growing demand. Ole Smoky said it would be using advertisements, partnerships and sponsorships to reach out to more customers.

Based in Greenwich, Connecticut, Centerview Capital looks for opportunities in the US consumer industry. It seeks to leverage its committed capital amounting to USD 500 million.
