Social music app Listn landed a USD500,000 seed round with new parter Rdio today, according to a report by Venture Beat.

Listn is an app that combines Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, Rdio, Soundcloud, and other music apps in one place. It also has an additional chat and social media feature, the report said.

When the app it launched, it automatically scans your music folders and links every song to what it determines as the best source. With its ingenuous social media feature, users can share music to chosen friends and even scan other friends' music collections without fear of violating any copyright laws. While inside the Listn app, users can chat with friends, and like, listen, or comment on the music posted by friends, Venture Beat reports.

Listn provides a combined music and social media platform that no other network has. It just has to work on establishing a base of community members and users, according to Venture Beat.
