In announcement, Sidley Austin LLP said Timothy A. Spangler had joined the firm in Los Angeles, as partner and member of Sidley's Global Investment Funds, Advisers and Derivatives business. The new partner brings along extensive experience in client advisory services through a number of investment vehicles as well as securities and regulatory issuances.

Prior to joining Sidley Austin LLP, Spangler was the chairman of the investment group of his former firm. His experience covers a wide swath of businesses, such as hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds and fund of funds. He also has experience in fund investments in many countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Cayman Islands, Channel Islands, and Mauritius among others.
