American software company Intuit acquired tech company FullSlate. FullSlate provides its clients to ability to allow customers to schedule appointments on Facebook and website pages. Financial and other pertinent details of the transaction were not made public.

Intuit had been making a number of strategic acquisitions in order to expand to the small business market. This year, it acquired Demandforce, which is a software-as-service provider focused on marketing and customer communications for small businesses. Demandforce was acquired in May for USD423.5 million. However, it was also able to recuperate some of its capital spent on acquisitions. Intuit sold its financial services unit for USD1.03 billion to Thoma Bravo, a private equity firm, in June this year.

According to tech website Techcrunch, Intuit intended to absorb FullSlate to its marketing platform business. The Demandforce platform employs communication tools to encourage client and customer interaction via SMS and email. FullSlate's host of services in scheduling and its e-commerce platform would help Intuit develop the potential of Demandforce.
