Twitter Inc has tweaked its design last Tuesday, Oct. 29, to provide its users direct image- and vide-sharing options within its timeline, according to a report from Reuters.

Before the change in design, Twitter users needed to click on a tweet before they can view the embedded mulitmedia. The change, however, does not also affect Twitter's basic feature on content sharing and microblogging, but the feel of the new design is expected to make a usage difference.

In a matter of weeks, Twitter will go public and the report said that the change in design will present more opportunities to Twitter advertisers. Also, Twitter's new design will allow its advertisers to get more attention-grabbing advertisements for users. This means more revenue for Twitter. The company also recgonizes that pictures and videos are the most circulated content in social media.

Michael Sippey, Twitter's vice president of product, said in a short blog post last Tuesday, that tweets can bring a user's followers closer to what is happening.

"We want to make it easier for everyone to experience those moments on Twitter," Sippey said on the blog post.
