Live Nation Entertainment buys Voodoo Music & Arts Experience for undisclosed sum

Entertainment firm Live Nation announced that it had bought Voodoo Music & Arts Experience. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Voodoo Music is the critically-acclaimed annual music and art festival held yearly in New Orleans. It was created by Stephen Rehage, the Chief Executive Officer of Rehage Entertainment. The first festival was held on October 30, 1999.

Rehage said, "I am grateful for the opportunity to join the Live Nation team. Our outlooks on the festival market are aligned and we look to grow the Live Nation festival roster over the coming years."

Live Nation Entertainment organizes live entertainment events around the world. The company is composed of Ticketmaster, Live Nation Concerts, Artist Nation Management and Live Nation Media/Sponsorhip.

Live Nation Entertainment Co-President of North America Concerts Bob Roux said Rehage had built a remarkable brand. "I'm looking forward to working with him to continue to enhance Voodoo and the other Live Nation festivals in the U.S.," he added.
