Market Track purchases Competitrack for an undisclosed amount

Retail promotion and e-commerce pricing intelligence solutions firm Market Track purchased Competitrack. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Competitrack was acquired from its founder Bob Moss.

As part of the transaction, Bob Moss would serve as advisor to Market Track and the company's Board of Directors. Ginny Tuckman would still remain as the president of Competitrack.

Market Track Chief Executive Officer Wayne Mincey said the combination would serve the interests of both companies. He added, "The unique media and content coverage that each of our organizations brings to this partnership will quickly allow clients from both companies access to a more comprehensive view of what is hitting the market and influencing their customers. As an example, Market Track plans to integrate Competitrack's promotions-related TV, radio, and mobile coverage, while Competitrack clients will have access to Market Track's internet ads featured on over 200 retailers' websites as well as deeper print and FSI coverage."
